International Western Music Association:
Media Production Specialist

During the summer of 2021, I was hired to do public relations and media production work for the 2021 Kansas Cowboy Poetry Contest by the Kansas Chapter of the IWMA. This work included creation of a new website to centralize information for the contest, the creation and release of several press release for IWMA members, the creation of several social media graphics for use by the committee members, the editing and publishing of all video entries to the contest and communication to all participating contestants to assist them in resolving technical issues.

KKSU-TV:  Anchor

I was one of two main anchor for KSSU-TV's entertainment news show, MHK All Day. In this position I coordinated with our producers, reporters and technical directors to plan out shows and review material I would be covering during each of our biweekly broadcasts.

October 2018 - May 2019

KKSU-TV: Segment Producer

Shortly after starting as a reporter, I was given the opportunity to produce a weekly interview segment titled "Donut Run" for our program. Each week I scheduled, wrote questions for, conducted, filmed and edited interviews with prominent figures within our city's community while eating donuts. After speaking with Varsity Donuts, a local Manhattan business, about hosting each interview, I was able to make this project the only sponsored segment on our broadcast.

Wildcat 91.9 FM: On-Air Personality

Throughout my time with Wildcat 91.9, I've had the opportunity to produce and host multiple special shows at the station as a DJ. These include "Know The Sound", an educational program about our station's featured artists, "The Garage", a feature program which highlighted local musicians, and "The Vibe Check", my personal, national award winning program centered around psychedelic rock, jam band and bluegrass music.

August 2021 - January 2022

KKSU-TV Segment Producer

After returning to KSSU-TV, I was given the opportunity to create a new franchise segment, "The Garage", on our biweekly entertainment news show, MHK All Day. My segment, a revival of an older radio show I had done, feature interviews with several local musicians from the Manhattan area. The segment went on to win several state and national awards.

As MD of the Wildcat 91.9, I managed the music department at the station. This included a multitude of responsibilities such as approving all music that was played on air, speaking with promoters to find new music for our rotation, and booking local bands for our weekly live streamed performances.
